Finds: love seat

Homegirl London finds the romantic Ercol Love Seat.  It’s been designed by Lucian Ercolani who founded his famous furniture business Ercol in 1920.  This piece is an extension of the traditional Windsor Chair which incidentally still remains of the most popular ranges from Ercol even today.  This beautifully crafted bench style seat has been especially adapted to allow space for 2 people, ideally a couple and thus is known as the Love Seat.  It’s both curvaceous and sturdy and would look great in the kitchen, dining room, hallway or sun room / conservatory.   The size is 78cm high, 117cm wide and 53cm in depth.  It costs £645 and is available from The Conran Shop in two beautiful colours – blue or mandarin.  I love the dip dyed paint effect, the way the colour fades into the background, giving you a combination of deep to light tones.  You can buy from The Conran Shop.  Credits: text by Homegirl London, images courtesy of The Conran Shop, special thanks to Simone John.
