My Five Favourite Products from the Rouge Asian Decor Shop

I picked out five of my favourite items from the shop, which will give you an idea of what’s on offer. I’ll start with this Black Japanese Sake Set. It’s an excellent gift for a friend who is partial to a sip of sake. You get a flask and four little cups packaged in a stylish black gift box. The flask is 13cm high and 6cm in diameter, while the cups are 3.8cm tall and 6cm in diameter – £25 for the set.

You can discover amazing Glazed Ceramic Coffee Cups and Mugs made by an artisan from Jingdezhen. This area is the traditional ceramic capital of China, just like Stoke on Trent in the UK. The artisan specialises in glazes taking inspiration from nature and landscapes; Dawn Rise Glaze, Lake Glaze, Mountain Glaze and Mulberry Glaze. The coffee cups are a lovely squat shape which measures 6cm high and 9.5cm in diameter – £24. The mugs are taller, 9cm high, and 9cm in diameter – £26.

This range of cute Lucky Cat Homeware Products by Pinyin Press caught my eye. The designer, Sarah Armstrong, takes popular Asian Icons and creates her designs which are printed onto products. Sarah is Scottish but now resides in Shanghai, where she makes homewares bearing her funky designs; tea towels, mugs, melamine trays, coasters and aprons. To give you an idea about the price points, the tea towel is £14.50, the tray £23.30 and the apron £25.90.

I fell in love with this Chinese Painted Tall Cabinet, which has been influenced by traditional Chinese furniture from the Gansu province. It’s made from Beijing pine wood which has been adorned with lotus flower motifs to represent purity and peony flowers to symbolise prosperity, love and romance.
