Shops: spotlight on Aria Homegirl London July 19, 2013 Shops Aria opened up on Islington’s Upper Street, London N1 back in 1989. This designer haven stocks an eclectic range of contemporary home furnishings and lifestyle accessories which sit side by side with hand-selected vintage pieces and special collaborations with local independent designers. Their products are carefully sourced form leading British and International brands from around the world. Aria was set up by Pushpa and David, a local couple who shared a passion for art and design. Their aim was to be the first shop in the area to instil an appreciation of quality design, at a time when Islington was just beginning to rejuvenate. In 2007, Aria relocated over the road to the derelict Barnsbury Hall which was built in the 1850s and had been closed to the public since the 1930s. To give you an idea of the superb furniture, lighting and accessories on offer, Aria has selected 5 products for you to admire.
