Trends: vintage sewing machines

Covent Garden Boutique, 17 Monmouth Street, London WC2H 9DD, Homegirl London

Beautiful vintage sewing machines are being shown off in shop windows throughout London.  Perhaps the most famous place for a great display of retro pieces is AllSaints, the fashion store.  They showcase a towering display of lovely machines in the window and some great installation finds located inside.  Of course vintage sewing machines are the perfect show piece for clothing stores and aside from AllSaints I also spotted said machines in the front windows of; Fat Faced Cat, a vintage clothing place in Camden Passage, a stall in Camden Market, Traffic People in King’s Road and the Covent Garden Boutique.  If you want to buy your own antique sewing machine the best places are eBay or Etsy.  Credits: text and images by Homegirl London.
