While exploring Fitzrovia, I popped into the Andrew Martin Showroom, Tottenham Court Road, London W1. I was already a fan after writing an Andrew Martin Profiles feature in 2012. If you read this article, you’ll discover that Martin Waller is the founder and driving force behind the Andrew Martin brand. He set up the business in 1978 and later moved to Walton Street in South Kensington, which remains his flagship. The Andrew Martin Showroom at Tottenham Court Road is impressive and a destination for anyone wanting to buy sofas, chairs, furniture, cushions, art, lighting, wallpaper, fabric, homeware, rugs and more.

The Andrew Martin aesthetics are eclectic, so you’ll find various styles and far-flung global influences. From neutral plush sofas to bold neon artwork, you’ll have fun exploring the collection of inspiring fabrics, objects and furniture. I took a few pictures while browsing the store, so I’ll share some with you.
The current fabric collection, Secret Garden, celebrates outdoor living, the quintessential English countryside and historic Persia. Expect to be delighted by summer flowers, botanicals, bees and other signs of summer.
You’ll have a serious crush on the Andrew Martin luxury cushions. Take your pick from the array of prints, whether you love animal, check, stripe, floral, geometric, ikat, kilim, herringbone or something plain with texture. Colours range from neutrals to bold and beautiful.
Warm up your home with one of the stylish rugs, whether a Persian low pile with subtle texture or a striking Ikat pattern. The rugs feature geometric, paisley, patchwork, trellis and other designs with various colour options from neutral to bright.
Sumptuous sofas come in all shapes and sizes, including corners, sectionals and snugglers. With custom-made options, you can personalise your settee to suit your interiors. Modular varieties are plentiful, so you can try different options whenever you fancy a change. If you want to add a couple of armchairs, I recommend you check out the swivel selection.
Other furniture includes everything you need for your cute pied-a-terre, plush apartment, or r spacious townhouse. Choose from Art Deco style consoles to petrified log side tables, round handcrafted marble top dining tables, smoked oak sideboards and upholstered beds.
The neon artwork caught my eye. I particularly like the Space Girl and Space Man series featuring icons such as Frida Kahlo, Marylin Monroe and John Lennon in NASA space suits with neon helmets. Other art includes the Monopoly Man, a Superman Skeleton, Sexy Lips, Angel Wings and more.
