Breakfast And Brunch At The Attendant Fitzrovia

If you want somewhere quirky to eat, there’s nothing quite like a former Victorian men’s public toilet. After being built around 1890, the bathroom was left unused for fifty years. Luckily someone thought it would be convenient to serve Coffee and Refreshments underground. They kept some original features like the Doulton and Co porcelain urinals, creating a separate area for each person. If you’re looking for unusual places to eat in London, speciality Coffee in Fitzrovia or Breakfast and Brunch in London W1, I recommend The Attendant.

I recommend you try the Coffee because it’s ethically sourced and expertly roasted. The list includes Espresso, Macchiato, Cortado, Long Black, Americano, Flat White, Latte, Cappuccino and Batch Brew. The Babyccino is free! In the summer, you may like to try an Ice Turmeric, Matcha or Chai Latte. Seasonal Lattes feature Pistachio, Pumpkin Spice, Caramel and Vanilla.

For Breakfast, you may like something simple such as Toasted Sourdough with Butter, Honey, Seasonal Jam or Orange Marmalade. Healthy types will want the elevated Bircher Muesli with Cinnamon, Vanilla and Bramley Apple Sauce and toppings of Cherry Compote, Pistachios and Greek Yoghurt. Another option is the House Oat and Nut Granola Bowl with Greek Yoghurt and Cherry Compote.

If you want something, Savoury, try a Croissant filled with Emmental Cheese and Confit Tomato. Make it more interesting by adding Sliced Avocado, Smoked Salmon, Maple Cured Bacon or Omelette. You may prefer the Smoked Salmon Multiseed Bagel with Lemon Dill and Chive Cream Cheese. I was super happy with my fancy Avocado and Halloumi Roll. It also had Red Pepper Jam, Sriracha Mayo, Confit Tomato, Pickled Cabbage and Rocket inside a fluffy Brioche Bun.

A sweet treat is House Made Banana Toast; I had it with Almond Butter, I think; not sure what they said, but it tasted great! If you want the luxe version, it’s with Raspberry Mascarpone, Cherry Compote and Crushed Pistachios.
