Oscar’s All Day Menu And Drinks
The all-day food menu at Oscar’s covers satisfying savoury plates and lighter options. For mains, I tried the tomatoes on toast, a beautiful combination of heritage tomatoes in shades of red, orange, and green, paired with olives, basil and walnut pesto, feta, and red onion, all piled on fresh sourdough. The bread had a crisp crust and soft centre, and the pesto brought a fragrant, nutty punch that paired perfectly with the juicy tomatoes.
Also available are hearty bagels such as Oscar’s Way with maple breakfast sausage, fried egg, American cheese, hot sauce, and aioli mayo, or the Everything Bagel with cream cheese and seasoning. Sandwich choices include some winning combinations like fish fingers with tartare sauce and crushed peas and crisps, harissa chickpea with vegan mayo, cucumber, and mint or mortadella with whipped ricotta. You can also opt for eggs on toast, the kimcheese toastie, a house salad, or a granola bowl. These range from £4.00 to £11.00.
From the counter, a variety of pastries and baked goods are ready to tempt you. The cinnamon bun is generously swirled and lightly glazed, the plain croissant has flaky layers with a buttery aroma, and the brownie is rich and dense. There’s also peanut butter snapper, chocolate chip cookies, and flapjacks. Pastries cost between £2.70 and £5.50.
The drinks menu is equally inviting. My latte was smooth and creamy with a balanced coffee flavour that paired beautifully with my toast. Coffee choices include everything from espresso to flat white, cappuccino, mocha, and iced coffee. There’s also kombucha, fresh juices, sodas, assorted teas, matcha lattes, and hot chocolate. Drinks range from £1.80 to £6.00.
