“Common Ground is a cute and casual community eatery on Stroud Green Road where you can tuck into crispy potato latke, tempting cheese toasties and amazing cakes,” Homegirl London.
Common Ground Menu
For those who relish savoury dishes, options include çılbır Turkish eggs or a customisable dish with poached eggs on sourdough. I tried their crispy potato latke with mixed sautéed mushrooms, poached eggs, spiced chimichurri and grated cheddar, which, in my opinion, is the perfect brunch dish. Non-egg options are the heartwarming tagine and a soba noodle bowl. These cost between £8 and £13.50.
On another visit, I couldn’t resist their satisfying toasties and thoroughly enjoyed double cheese with red onion and chilli jam. I bet the double cheese with kimchi and spicy mayo or their vegan option is just as delicious. These toasties are available for £11, with a kids’ version for £8.50.
Check out the side dishes range from fries to sautéed mushrooms, priced between £2.5 and £4. I can vouch for their fries, the perfect accompaniment to a toastie!
For those with a sweet tooth, the weekend-special tiramisu French toast is a must-try, while weekday visitors can enjoy warm banana bread or seasonal porridge, with prices ranging from £8 to £13. Alternatively, try one of the yummy cakes, including coffee hazelnut cake and orange and cardamom cake, with prices from £3.80 to £5.
The beverage selection includes excellent coffee, house lemonade, freshly pressed juices, brunch cocktails, Prosecco, wine and craft beers.
