The Apple Blue Brunch Menu
I shared a couple of dishes with my partner, including the Turkish Çilbir, with poached eggs accompanied by garlic yoghurt, Aleppo pepper ghee and dill with sourdough. I loved the simplicity of eggs and yoghurt with delicate hints of spice. The other dish we split was Anda Masala which was outstanding. You’re in for an irresistible blend of cashew almond curry, charred long-stem broccoli, boiled eggs in a crunchy coating and sourdough. It was hearty and full of flavour.
Other tempting savoury dishes include the Breakfast Croissant featuring folded eggs, smoked garlic mushrooms, harissa, pickled baby cucumber and American cheese. The Avocado on Sourdough is elevated with poached eggs, feta, hot sweet chilli and toasted sesame. At the same time, their Egg Royal combines oak-smoked salmon, poached eggs, Korean barbecue hollandaise and buttered spinach topping muffins. Meanwhile, the Channa Shakshuka provides a unique twist on the classic baked egg dish, featuring a chickpea, tomato and pepper stew topped with goat’s cheese and Yemeni chermoula.
Sandwich lovers are not forgotten at The Apple Blue Balham. Served on brioche or sourdough, the sarnie selection includes options like Eggs N’ Harissa, Bacon Egg N’ Cheese and Slow Cooked Lamb.
The Apple Blue T is a delightful treat for those with a sweet tooth. This dessert will satisfy any craving, featuring a croissant filled with peanut butter and caramelised apples, topped with popping crumble and apple blue ice cream. They also have cakes and pastries at the counter. I can vouch for the Spiced Apple Carrot Cake!
Coffee enthusiasts will appreciate The Mount Blend by Volcano or the rotating filter coffee by Assembly Brixton. My partner tried the Dirty Chai while I sipped a healthy Smoothie.
