Partnering with Horsham Coffee Roaster, where owner-operator Stephen worked for four years, the café serves only single-origin coffee from producers the roastery has long-standing relationships with. There’s a strong focus on Rwandan coffee and support for the One Tree Planted reforestation project, making every cup feel part of something bigger. The coffee menu covers all the essentials, from bold espressos to smooth flat whites and silky lattes, available hot or iced. You can also opt for V60 filter coffee, matcha, chai, or a refreshing cold brew in summer. My latte was beautifully prepared, rich, velvety, and balanced.
Once you’ve ordered your coffee, the temptation continues with the line-up of sweet treats displayed in the glass counter. On my visit, I couldn’t resist the pistachio-topped pain au chocolat, filled with a rich pistachio paste that was every bit as indulgent as it sounds.
You might also find apricot Danishes, moist loaf cakes ranging from classic banana bread to honey and pistachio or maple pecan with butternut. Cookies come in inventive pairings like matcha with raspberry or a more decadent peanut butter version, while brownies include a gooey salted caramel option. There are also muffins in flavours such as chocolate and custard, making it almost impossible to choose just one.
