We’ve eaten at White Mulberries Hay’s Galleria a few times recently, which is opposite London Bridge Station. Now that the weather is dreary, it’s more difficult to dine alfresco. That’s why White Mulberries is an excellent option because Hay’s Galleria has a glass roof, so you are outside but not exposed to the elements. That’s not the only reason we’ve eaten there. The food is delicious and perfect for a leisurely brunch, lunch or afternoon cake. If you’re looking for the best coffee shops near London Bridge or places to eat at Hay’s Galleria, you’ll love the White Mulberries cafe.
“White Mulberries Hay’s Galleria is a lovely place to meet your best friend and enjoy a breakfast bowl, lovely things on toast or a coffee with cake. The food is simple, delicious and beautifully presented, making it the perfect breakfast, brunch or lunch spot near London Bridge.” Homegirl London
White Mulberries Hay’s Galleria Menu
You must try the toasted banana bread with a variety of toppings. I thoroughly enjoyed the pistachio, mascarpone, and agave. Other options include banana and a selection of berries and a choice of almond butter and Nutella, peanut butter with raspberry jam or maple pecan and mascarpone. It’s a simple idea, but it works very well and is lovely for breakfast, lunch or an afternoon treat.
Toasted Banana Bread with Toppings
In the morning, you can try one of the breakfast bowls. The options include Greek yoghurt with maple granola, berries and banana or acai with pistachio, almonds and granola. Otherwise, it’s coconut yoghurt with peanut butter, blueberry, coulis, maple pecan and forest berries. On a cold day, you might prefer the almond and oat porridge with banana, berries and blueberry coulis.
Burrata and Prosciutto on Toast
If you are feeling hungry, try something brunchy like the everyday breakfast with an egg and avocado. I recommend the super fresh tasting avocado on organic sourdough toast with spinach, chilli flakes and poppy seeds. The burrata and prosciutto on toast is fabulous, although I had it minus the prosciutto. Other tempting toast toppings include eggs with smoked salmon, truffled bacon or maple sweet potato. The presentation is beautiful, and you’ll want to take an insta picture.
Vegan Buddha Bowl
They have a couple of lunch bowls; one has falafel with avocado plus salad. The other is a vegan buddha bowl with lots of lovely ingredients, including maple roast sweet potato, avocado, puy lentil, paprika chickpeas, beetroot, carrot, quinoa, microgreens, lemon tahini and toasted pine nuts. It was gorgeous! If it’s cold and rainy, you may want to warm up with a hot wrap. The selection includes pulled lamb with harissa hummus and BBQ chicken with smoke pancetta. I think I’ll try the truffle chestnut mushroom with avocado on my next visit.
Lemon Drizzle Cake, Coffee and Smoothie
If you have limited time, you may want to drink a coffee and eat a pastry. Choose from a plain croissant, almond croissant, pain au chocolate, cinnamon bun or pistachio cronut. They also have yummy cakes from lemon drizzle to carrot cake, brownies and more.
The drinks include fresh juices from OJ to blends of carrot, banana mango and berries. The vegan super smoothies are worth investigating, such as the bodyguard with cashews, coconut, banana, sesame, dates, ginger and cinnamon. Other drinks include iced tea, iced matcha tea, chai, coffees, espresso martini and craft beer.
Banana bread with toppings cost £10-11, breakfast bowls are £7.50-11, topless toast is £8.50-16.90, lunch bowls are £13.50 and hot wraps £9.90-10.90.
