Forest Plant Shop East Dulwich London

Tucked away on North Cross Road, East Dulwich, Forest is one of my favourite plant shops in South East London. From the moment you approach the shop, with its leafy outdoor display and small seating area surrounded by gorgeous greenery, it’s clear this place is somewhere you have to explore. With a fantastic collection of houseplants, beautifully curated home accessories, delightful scented candles, and freshly brewed coffee, Forest is a fabulous shop to visit.

What’s In Store At Forest East Dulwich

Inside the fabulous Forest plant store on North Cross Road, you’ll find a mix of greenery and other gorgeous things. Houseplants of all shapes and sizes are arranged around the space, from easy-care cacti and trailing string-of-hearts to larger specimens like Monstera and Ficus that instantly elevate a room. There’s something here for every kind of space and experience level, whether you’re after something sculptural for a hallway or low maintenance for a sunny windowsill.

Once you’ve picked your plant, you can match it with one of their beautiful pots. The selection is brilliant, featuring aged brass urns and earthy terracotta, alongside glossy striped ceramics, emerald-ribbed pots, and planters on stands.

Terrariums are also a prominent feature, available in various shapes, including pyramids, hexagons, and globes, ready to be filled with mosses and mini succulents.

Alongside the plants are shelves stocked with glass vases, beaded wine glasses, ceramic candleholders, shell-shaped plates, striped throws, cotton cushions, bamboo wall mirrors, framed art and woven baskets. Everything is tactile, tempting and well-made. It’s an excellent place for gifts or picking up something small to add a touch of brightness to your home.

You’ll also find a curated edit of skincare and spa brands, including Aesop, along with a collection of scented candles. Plant books are also available, helping you keep your houseplants alive and thriving (perhaps I need one of those). Forest also sells wild flowers, garden-style bunches, gathered seasonal posies, roses, and dried arrangements.

There’s a friendly, expert atmosphere throughout the entire place. The Forest Plant Store is independently run by Alice Bailey, a third-generation horticulturalist, and its staff are knowledgeable. If you’re unsure what might thrive in your home or how to revive a struggling plant, someone will happily help.

You’ll appreciate their coffee counter where you can order a flat white and soak up the calm in one of their cosy corners.
