Lantana Cafe London Bridge Weekend Brunch

Restaurant Review: Lantana Cafe London Bridge. Since moving to SE1, Homeboy and I have eaten brunch at this Australian restaurant a few times now. It’s a casual dining spot serving delicious food from morning to night with excellent coffee. If you’re looking for weekend brunch in SE1, places to eat near Borough Market or Southwark Street restaurants then you must pop in.

Lantana Cafe London Bridge Weekend Brunch Menu

I always enjoy the weekend brunch menu here because it’s super tasty with exciting options. The menu changes seasonally and to give you an idea, here are a few delicious dishes that are currently available. If you’re a vegetarian, you can try the Wild Mushrooms which are piled on top of sourdough toast. You also get a poached egg and a delightful sun-blushed tomato white bean hummus with crispy shallot crumb. The Courgette Bread is fabulous with a couple of halloumi slices, scattering of sweet corn, black-eyed bean and tomato salsa plus poached egg. The spicy chipotle sour cream is a nice touch.

Meat eaters can tuck into the Big Bubble with bubble and squeak, Cumberland sausage, poached egg, black pudding and more. Yes, there is a veggie version of this, and it’s rather good. The sautéed spinach and muhammara (hot pepper dip) accompany both meat and vegetarian Bubbles. If you’re picky, you can construct your breakfast from a long list of extras which includes chorizo sausage, beetroot cured salmon and streaky bacon. Or go for eggs any style on sourdough.

Other dishes include a Pulled Pork Bap, Corn Fritters, Smashed Avocado, a Buddha Bowl with cauliflower quinoa rice and plenty of healthy ingredients. Sweet treats include French Toast, and we had a Matcha Green Tea version previously which was so good. Or you can try the Honey Granola. Prices range from £6.50 to £13.50. Keep an eye out for weekend brunch offers like unlimited Prosecco, Mimosa and coffee with any brunch menu item for £30 or unlimited juices and coffee for £25. Drinks include house lemonade, ice slushes, freshly squeezed orange juice, detox juices, smoothies, coffee, tea, wine and more.

Restaurant Interior

As you enter this spacious eatery, you’ll see the counter which is ideally located for anyone who wants to collect take-out coffee and pastries. The main dining space is open plan and airy. In terms of décor, it’s contemporary with a few industrial touches like distressed structural beams. With a wooden floor and white walls, your eyes are drawn to the full-length window overlooking the busy street outside. It’s a great place to hang out and catch up with a friend.
