Brunch at Arvo in Primrose Hill, London NW1, is an unforgettable experience. While updating my area guide, I sampled their delicious Vegan Breakfast and recently returned to try their fabulous Challah French Toast. Their menu is brimming with favourites like Avocado on Toast with twists on classics such as their Pastourma Benedict featuring cured beef with a smoky paprika hollandaise. If you’re seeking the best brunch spots in Primrose Hill or breakfast on Regent’s Park Road, Arvo will undoubtedly impress you.
“Arvo’s brunch plates, featuring Turkish and Mediterranean flavours, range from savoury to sweet. You can indulge in dishes like Turkish Eggs, a Mixed Mezze Platter, or the delectable Challah French Toast while relaxing in the calm surroundings,” Homegirl London.
Arvo Brunch Menu
The large breakfast plates include the Vegan on the Hill, which consists of sweet potato, sautéed spinach, grilled cherry tomatoes, portobello mushroom, plant-based sausage, avocado, herbed beans, hummus and sourdough toast. I found this one of the best vegan breakfasts I’ve ever tasted, with excellent ingredients and a generous portion.
Other sizable options include the Arvo Full Monty, featuring a Clarence Court egg, crispy bacon and Cumberland sausage, and the Medi, a Mediterranean alternative with halloumi and roasted vegetables seasoned with sujuk and olives. These dishes are priced between £14.50 and £16.
For those preferring smaller savoury brunch dishes, options range from Turkish Eggs and Courgette and Halloumi Fritters to smashed Avocado on Toast or Garlic Mushroom Toast with Herbed Ricotta Spread, costing between £10.50 and £12.50. You can also select dips like Hummus, Labneh, and Tzatziki with fluffy pitta or enjoy them as part of a Mixed Mezze Platter for £22.50.
Sweet treat enthusiasts might love the Challah French Toast, superbly served with caramelised bananas, fresh berries and a generous helping of mascarpone. I was super happy to tuck into this dish, particularly as I was dining alone and didn’t have to share it with anyone! Alternatively, you might enjoy fluffy Vegan Pancakes with bananas and coconut dulce de leche or Sweet Potatoes and Spinach Waffles stacked with seasonal fruits, cinnamon, mascarpone and maple syrup. These cost £10.50-11. You should also check out the delicious-looking cakes and croissants at the counter.
Health-conscious diners can opt for the Cranberry Orange Zest Granola or Overnight Oats with oat milk, tahini, agave, pistachios and Seville orange marmalade. These cost £4.50-8.
I highly recommend trying one of their smoothies, such as the divine Raspberry Heaven. On a previous visit, I sampled the pear juice, which was equally delightful. There’s also a variety of cocktails, wines, coffees, and teas.
