Cafe Route Dalton Junction Lunch Menu
Healthy Salads take centre stage at this cosy and laid-back eatery. The Salads are delicious, so I’d recommend you try a few. Choose one to four Salads and add a main if you’re super hungry.
Feast on the refreshing Fennel and Apple with Radish, Mint, Parsley, Dill and Fennel seeds. Choose Carrots with Tahini, Coriander, Crispy Onion, Sesame and Paprika. Go for Grains with Barley, Parsley, Spring Onion, Mixed Peppers and Pomegranate. Fill up on Green Beans and Potato with mixed Olives, Mint and Dill or the Beetroot with Sweet Potato, Feta Cheese, Walnuts and Honey. They also have Aubergine with Beetroot Hummus.
If you’re starving, you can choose a Main with Salads. I’m a big fan of filo pastry, so I’d recommend the Filo Pie. I’ve also tried the Frittata, which is excellent thanks to the Red Pepper, Spinach, Potato, Onion and Feta filling encased inside the set Egg.
Other Mains include Veggie Lasagne, Chickpeas Sweet Potato, Pulled Lamb, Chicken Meatballs and Baked Salmon. Pulled Pork and Grilled Chicken Pittas, Beef Burgers and Vegan Kofte Burgers are also available.
Save room for a slice of homemade Loaf Cake; Orange and Pomegranate, Carrot and Walnut or Beetroot with Avocado and Chocolate. I couldn’t resist the Olive Oil Rosemary, which is moist with evergreen notes of rosemary. There are vegan and gluten-free options to keep everyone happy.
To give you an idea of prices, single Salads cost £5.95, two £7.45, three £10.95 and four £12.45. Mains are £7.50-10.50. Filled Pittas and Burgers cost £10.95. The Cakes are only £3.90.
