My partner and I recently went to check out Jusu Brothers inside Walworth Town Hall near Elephant & Castle. Set within the regenerated Grade II-listed building, the café forms part of a wider community and workspace hub. We stopped by for lunch and lingered far longer than planned, thanks to the relaxed atmosphere, good coffee, and a surprisingly varied menu. If you’re looking for brunch or lunch spots around Elephant & Castle and Walworth Road, London SE17, Jusu Brothers is well worth a visit.
“A calm and stylish café with genuinely good dishes, set within the beautiful Walworth Town Hall,” Homegirl London.
Jusu Brothers Elephant and Castle Menu
From the all-day breakfast section, I ordered the fluffy pancakes. They arrived thick and soft, accompanied by coconut yoghurt, cinnamon-roasted apples, banana, and granola, drizzled with maple syrup. Other sweet brunch options include French toast, granola bowls and tiramisu overnight oats. Alternatively, you can opt for something savoury, such as an avo don (an elevated avocado on sourdough), or try the tofu scramble with turmeric, cumin, spinach and grilled veg. The breakfast prices range from £6.50 to £12.
Lunch dishes range from the soup of the day to popcorn chicken, salmon bagel, and a selection of Sando, which are Japanese sandwiches made with ultra-soft milk bread known as Shokupan. My partner chose the egg sando with Kewpie mayo and chives. It looked so enticing that I insisted we share! Other variations include the Caesar with shredded chicken, miso caesar dressing, lettuce, and breadcrumbs, and the katsu with chicken, cabbage slaw, and katsu mayo.
Larger lunch items include a bento box, kale salad, salmon teriyaki salad, a poke bowl, chicken noodle soup, Panang curry, shitake ramen, or a chicken katsu burger. Prices are in the region of £9-21.
Finish your meal with banana bread or mochi ice cream or try one of the energy bites for an afternoon lift. Add a drink, whether it’s a healthy juice, a shot, tea or coffee. With a choice of iced matcha to protein shakes, there’s something for everyone. The menu and drinks feature protein, so it’s a great place to visit after your gym workout.
Helpful Information About Jusu Brothers Walworth Road
One of the most appealing things about Jusu Brothers is the setting itself. Set within the restored Walworth Town Hall, the café enjoys high ceilings, open-plan seating and a bright, contemporary interior that still respects the original building’s character. Part of the wider venue functions as a workspace hub, with people quietly working on laptops, while the café side operates a no-laptop policy, giving it a noticeably more relaxed, social atmosphere. During our visit, it felt calm, spacious and easy to linger in without feeling rushed. The pastry counter near the entrance was also hard to ignore, filled with giant cookies, cinnamon buns, sausage rolls and freshly baked pastries throughout the day.
Jusu Brothers is at 151-155 Walworth Road, London SE17 1RS, a short walk from Elephant & Castle station. Opening hours are currently 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Saturday and 10 am to 4 pm on Sundays. Check the Jusu Brothers website for further information. They also have a branch in Notting Hill.
