After being a vegetarian since I was twenty, which was a very long time ago, I’m glad to see that choosing not to eat meat is no longer considered odd. Thankfully the restaurant business is adjusting to catering for people who don’t want to eat meat or less meat. It’s great that restaurants and burger joints now include thoughtful plant-based and vegan dishes on their menus. I was glad to see Neat Burger opening up with a pure Plant-Based Burger offering. Eating options are getting better for vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians. I reviewed Camden last week and popped into Neat Burger to check out their Plant-Based Burger and Fries. If you’re looking for Vegan Burgers, Plant-Based Burgers or vegan places to eat in Camden, you’ll love Neat Burger.

Plant-Based Burgers and More on the Menu
I tried the Cheese Burger, a Neat Meat Patty with American Style Cheese, Pickles, Ketchup, Mustard, and it should have had White Onions, but I omitted those. I had to recheck the menu to make sure this was a Plant-Based Burger before taking a bite because it looked just like meat. It was excellent. The Burger was perfectly cooked with the texture of meat but didn’t taste too meaty. The combination of American Style Cheese with Mustard, Ketchup and Pickles was the perfect ratio. I particularly enjoyed the soft and fluffy Bun, they have a Gluten-Free Bun, or you can have your Burger in a Lettuce Wrap. Overall, it’s an excellent Meat-Free Burger, so it gets the big thumbs up from me.
The other Burger options are Smash Burger (Double Patty, Smashed Onions), Neat Burger (Patty, Lettuce Tomatoes, Grilled Red Onion), The Big Stack (Two Patties, Triple Bun, American Style Cheese, Lettuce, Onions) and Smoke Stack (Two Patties, Lettuce, Onion Rings, Jalapenos, Gouda Cheese). These all come with a variety of sauces. Add Cheese, Spice or an extra Burger to these if you want to personalise. The most expensive Burgers are the Smash Burger, Big Stack and Smoke Stack at £9.99.
Non-Patty options include Filet-No-Fish, Chick Avo, Chick’ N Bites, Neat Dog or Burger Bowls. Don’t forget to add Fries. I went for the regular with ketchup, they were thinly cut, and you get a sizable helping. I did consider being healthier with the Sweet Potatoes Fries, but I couldn’t resist good old Fries. Tater Tots are another option with a choice of making it Cheesy, Nasty or Tarantino. I quite like the sound of the Nasty Tater Tots!
Finish with a Choc Chip Cookie, Brownie, Oreo Brownie or Hackney Gelato. Wash your Burger down with a soft drink like Karma Cola, Lemonaid, Lo Bros Kombucha, Shake or alcohol including Beer, Wine or a Martini.
