Ninh’s Vietnamese Menu
The menu at Ninh’s Vietnamese Restaurant offers a variety of tempting starters. My partner and friend tried the Fresh Summer Rolls filled with prawns, egg, rice vermicelli and salad, accompanied by a peanut hoisin dipping sauce. Both commented on how incredible they tasted. Seafood lovers can also enjoy Garlic and Chilli flavoured prawns, squid, soft shell crab or sea bass as appetisers.
For my starter, I opted for the Mixed Vegetables stir-fried with egg, served with spring onions, cucumber and a plum dipping sauce. It came with a bamboo box of pancakes, allowing me to create flavourful rolls with the desired filling.
We also shared the refreshing Green Papaya Salad, consisting of shredded papaya, carrots, herbs and roasted peanuts. Optional additions include Chicken, Prawns or Tofu. It was one of the best Green Papaya Salads I’ve ever tasted.
As for the mains, considering the muggy weather outside, we chose the Rice Vermicelli Salad over the Pho Noodle Soup. However, we have previously tried their Pho and found it excellent. It’s a perfect choice for the cold and rainy days that London often experiences. The Pho options include shredded chicken, beef brisket, sirloin steak, prawns or tofu with enoki mushrooms. Instead of Pho, you may prefer the Noodle Soup featuring rice vermicelli simmered in a beef broth infused with lemongrass and chilli paste, with similar toppings as previously mentioned.
Returning to the Rice Vermicelli Salad, it is a lovely assortment of rice vermicelli, mixed salad, roasted peanuts and a delightful dipping sauce. You can select from toppings such as chicken, beef, prawns or tofu with lemongrass and chilli. Alternatively, you can opt for meat or vegetarian spring rolls. I shared the latter with my partner while my friend enjoyed the beef with lemongrass and chili.
We also shared the Vietnamese Shaking Mushrooms, which were bursting with flavours. It featured wok-fried king mushrooms, onions, and a medley of vegetables in soy sauce. The beef version of this dish is particularly popular.
Other enticing mains on the menu include Mongolian Duck Fillet, Steamed Sea Bass with ginger and spring onions, Black Bean Sauce or Yellow Curry with a choice of chicken, beef, prawn, or tofu. Additionally, the menu offers a variety of sides, such as vegetables, rice and noodles.
We highly recommend trying their homemade lemonade or refreshing iced Vietnamese coffee to accompany your meal. They also offer a selection of wines, beers, spirits, and cocktails, including the Vietnamese Espresso Martini.
