I’d written several guides about Parsons Green Village years ago, when I started my blog, but I’ve since deleted them. It was a pleasure to return to this charming village in London SW6. I could easily live there! I spent a couple of days mooching around to give you an overview of the best things to do, where to shop and where to eat. From the green to New Kings Road, with adorable brunch spots and cute coffee shops, it’s a lovely way to relax without having to leave the capital.
Best Things To Do In Parsons Green Village
At the heart of the neighbourhood lies Parsons Green itself, a mature, tree-shaded triangle that brings a distinct village-fête atmosphere to southwest London. Just a short stroll away is Eel Brook Common, which is perfect for dog walking, and there’s a playground and tennis courts. Heading towards the borders, the active hubs of South Park and Hurlingham Park offer wide, multi-use grounds for cricket, football, and community events. Completing this green network, the sweeping riverside paths of Bishops Park border the historic Fulham Palace, providing tranquil walking routes along the banks of the River Thames.
Other sporting facilities include the Parsons Green Club at 31 Broomfield Lane, a prestigious sports and social club with racquet facilities, a Technogym-powered health club, and a spa. The Climbing Co, 33-35 Parsons Green Lane, is the perfect place to practise bouldering. With places for yoga and pilates, you have everything on your doorstep.
If you have kids, you’ll appreciate that Jesse’s House, Heathman’s Road, is a Mediterranean-inspired sanctuary designed for the whole family. Kids can explore soft play, a jungle gym, a crèche, Kids Club, pools, a cinema, studio classes, playgrounds, games areas, and family spaces. For parents, there’s a restaurant and terrace, a café, Milk Bar, a co-working space, an adults-only gym, fitness and Pilates studios, spin classes, outdoor daybeds, and practical touches like buggy storage. Another place you can take the kids is the Pottery Café on Fulham Road, where you can paint some pottery and have something to eat.
Those wanting to learn to play bridge will enjoy a course at the Andrew Robson Bridge Club near the station; it’s a great place to socialise and meet others.
Best Places To Shop In Parsons Green
Parsons Green is a premier interior design destination, blending leafy village charm with high-end furniture showrooms. The expansive One.World flagship, at 41–43 Parsons Green Lane, offers a timeless, relaxed lifestyle aesthetic and sells elegant furniture, lighting, and home accessories. The store uniquely features an integrated One World Cafe and garden, allowing visitors to browse the collections with a coffee, a snack, or a glass of wine.
Nearby at 33 Parsons Green Lane, the Darlings of Chelsea showroom specialises in luxury sofas, corner designs, and high-quality sofa beds, ranging from classic leather Chesterfields to contemporary fabrics. The space maximises hospitality, offering complimentary drinks from an in-house bar and a children’s cinema room to enjoy while testing the seating.
Further south, at 38 New Kings Road, Bayley & Sage Abode shifts the focus to independent craft. This store stocks an eclectic, rustic-refined collection of fine glassware, artisanal tableware, high-end kitchen essentials, and seasonal decorative pieces.
There are a few lifestyle stores and boutiques in the area, including Hemels (Parsons Green Lane), Oliver Bonas (Parsons Green Lane), Lark (Fulham Road) and Indian Summer (Fulham Road).
If you’re a foodie, you’ll enjoy shopping at the large Bayley & Sage store (New Kings Road), the Little Waitrose (Heathman’s Road) and the Parson’s Nose (Fulham Road).
Best Places To Eat And Drink In Parsons Green
There are some cute coffee places, including District (Parson’s Green Lane), Naïve (Parson’s Green Lane), Stubby’s (Parson’s Green Lane) and Rondor (Heathman’s Road). At One.World, the furniture store opposite the station, there is an indoor coffee place with a large alfresco area where you can relax on sofas.
For coffee and brunch, you should check out Hally’s (New King’s Road) for a laid-back California-style experience with buckwheat pancakes, toasted banana bread and plenty of egg dishes.
Mabelle’s (New King’s Road) serves everything from French toast to homemade pancakes, Turkish eggs and beetroot benedict. You’ll also find Megans, the chain restaurant near the station, which serves a med-inspired breakfast. Head to The Acai Girls (Fulham Road) for healthy food and smoothies.
For lunch and dinner, you can try the above brunch places, along with 1910 Cantina (New King’s Road) for Mexican food with tequila and Mezcal cocktails, and Cocotte (New King’s Road) for rotisserie chicken, steak, burgers and salads. For fine dining, book a table at Koji (New King’s Road) for Japanese cuisine, ranging from sashimi tacos to sushi rolls. For NYC thin pizza and Detroit deep-pan pies, head to Common Pizza (Parson’s Green Lane). You’ll also find plenty of excellent eateries as you head further along Fulham Road, like Sambal Sim for Malay cuisine.
A couple of pubs to mention are two historic boozers overlooking the green. The White Horse and the Duke on the Green both serve superb Sunday roasts and other pub grub throughout the week. If you want a bar-and-hotel serving seasonal British dishes, try Aragon House (New King’s Road).
Helpful Information About Parsons Green
Located within the vibrant district of Fulham, the leafy enclave of Parsons Green is defined by a clear framework of historic local roads and neighbourhoods. Fulham Road and the bustling hub of Walham Green mark its northern perimeter, while Munster Road forms a distinct western boundary. To the east, the area is bounded by the steady flow of Wandsworth Bridge Road. Heading south, the neighbourhood transitions gracefully towards the residential pockets of Sands End, the prestigious grounds of Hurlingham, and the scenic banks of the River Thames. From Parsons Green station, everything is within easy walking distance; enjoy!
