On my way to a beauty appointment, I set aside time to visit Fink’s at Clissold House. Situated within the elegant historic building in the centre of Clissold Park, this café offers relaxed, seasonal dishes from breakfast through lunch. I visited for a leisurely brunch, catching up on some work on my phone while enjoying the peaceful setting and delicious food. If you’re looking for the best brunch near Clissold Park or a place to eat in Stoke Newington with excellent coffee, try Fink’s at Clissold House, London N16.

Fink’s At Clissold House Menu
The menu offers a simple selection of breakfast, brunch, and light lunch options. All-day favourites include Fink’s sourdough toast with house jam or Marmite butter, Fink’s own crumpets, straightforward eggs on sourdough, and a sausage bap. There are also lighter choices, such as granola with roasted plums or oat milk porridge with apple butter.
From 11 am, heartier dishes appear such as rarebit made with McIntosh Pale Ale from Stoke Newington or slow-cooked cowboy beans with pancetta and Manchego on sourdough. I nearly ordered the roast potato and cavolo nero hash with a fried egg (without the crispy Serrano ham), but I chose the creamy mushrooms on toast instead. Served on a thick slice of sourdough, it was perfect with earthy mushrooms in a rich sauce and just the right amount of chilli heat.
Health-conscious diners can choose the roast carrot salad on red rice with goat’s cheese, pickled radish, and toasted hazelnuts. The pumpkin scapece with radicchio and Spenwood cheese also sounds appealing, as does the roast chicken with a crispy chickpea salad. For sharing, the smorgasbord for two combines seasonal raw vegetables, hot-smoked salmon, fudgy eggs, labneh, and other delights.
Check the counter for the day’s freshly made items. Expect sandwiches like pastrami with kimchi and Red Leicester, chicken Caesar with bacon and lettuce, or giant chickpea hummus with caramelised shallots. There may also be sausage rolls or pumpkin, sage, and feta scones available. Sweet treats include burnt caramel chocolate cake, buckwheat choc chip cookies and a selection of croissants and pastries.
My latte was excellent, smooth and strong, and didn’t last long. Drinks also include teas, juices, and soft options, plus a short wine and beer list that’s perfect for long park-side lunches.
