WA Japanese Patisserie Menu
WA Japanese Patisserie specialises in crafting authentic Japanese cakes with a nod to French traditions and techniques. Each creation is a masterpiece, meticulously put together using the finest ingredients, ensuring they taste as delightful as they look. The cakes are designed to enhance the natural flavours of each component, using just the right amount of sweetness to create a surprisingly light yet satisfying dessert.
In the morning, visitors can enjoy the matcha croissants, deliciously infused with a grassy matcha flavour. They also have a gateau tiramisu and roll, all featuring the matcha taste.
You can pre-order one of WA’s whole cakes for special celebrations or sample them with a slice in the café. The Sunny Mango, a seasonal limited edition, features a light and fluffy sponge that I found divine.
Another fruit-inspired option is the Banana, which my partner and I enjoyed; its real banana pieces and chocolate whipped cream made it exceptional.
With its delicate sponge, lightly whipped cream, and fresh strawberries, the strawberry shortcake is equally pleasing, as is the raspberry mousse, which boasts a fresh berry glaze.
Other tempting choices include the soufflé cheese, a moist cheesecake with an apricot glaze, the white sesame cheesecake on a black sesame biscuit base, and the chocolate and praline mousse topped with hazelnuts.
In addition to their signature sweet treats, they also offer a range of savoury options, such as sandwiches and filled rolls made from their soft, fluffy white milk loaf. The pumpkin croquette roll was so tasty that I’m still thinking about it.
Pair your treat with one of WA’s selected premium teas, quality coffee, or refreshing iced drinks for a complete experience.
