I recently enjoyed a fabulous Swedish breakfast plate at Söderberg café in Soho, London W1. Known for its Nordic-inspired menu and freshly baked goods, Söderberg is an adorable place to hang out. Whether you’re craving newly baked cinnamon or cardamon buns, Swedish meatballs, or open sandwiches, this little eatery has it all. If you’re looking for Swedish cafes in London W1, the best coffee shops in Soho or Scandi bakeries, you’ll enjoy a visit to Söderberg.

Söderberg Brunch Menu
The Söderberg brunch menu is brimming with simple yet satisfying Nordic fare. I opted for the ‘Frukosttallrik,’ a Swedish-style continental breakfast for my visit. It featured a few pieces of toasted sourdough, crispbread, mature cheddar slices, yoghurt with granola, a small fruit salad, and a little jam pot. You also get a glass of cold-pressed orange juice. Priced at £14, it was excellent value with premium ingredients. This breakfast tray could be easily shared between two people, but I must admit that I was thankful I didn’t have to!
The brunch menu offers interesting choices for every taste. Enjoy customisable eggs on sourdough toast; choose from poached, scrambled, omelette, or fried. There are options like crispy pancetta with wilted spinach and chipotle sauce, portobello mushrooms with walnut basil pesto, or avocado with crispy kale, dill, lemon, and crème fraîche. The prices for egg dishes vary from £9 to £14. Enjoy the Swedish meatballs served with eggs and walnut basil pesto, priced at £15. You’ll adore the open sandwiches with smoked salmon, goat’s cheese, and avocado for £10 to £13.50. Treat yourself to waffles with sweet or savoury toppings, costing between £7 and £13. From 1 pm, artisanal sourdough pizzas with creative toppings are served, priced from £12.50 to £16.50.
The drinks list at Söderberg leans heavily towards coffee, which is roasted to their recipe with delicious notes of caramel and chocolate. My latte was fabulous, and you can always pair yours with one of the freshly baked cinnamon or cardamom buns. There’s a selection of teas, hot chocolates, and several Nordic-inspired drinks, including a refreshing elderflower cordial. If you fancy a tipple, check out the brunch cocktail of prosecco, lingonberry and cardamom.
