Theo’s Pizzeria Menu
We were a party of three and had eaten at a food market earlier, so we decided to forgo the antipasti and go straight to the pizzas. If you’re hungry, start with Olives, Garlic Focaccia, Aubergine Parmigiana, San Marzano Arancini or Pizza Fritta. The pizzas are large, so you could share if you want to enjoy the antipasti and a dessert. We didn’t think our meal through, and if I’d been smart, I would have shared a pizza with my partner and left a little room for Tiramisu.
Currently, there are ten pizza choices with enough options for meat eaters and vegetarians. I chose the Margherita with Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil, which was terrific. The sourdough base was chewy with a slight crunch, thanks to some charred edges. My partner wanted to try Bufalina with Tomato, Datterini, Buffalo Mozzarella and Basil, but he was out of luck. So instead, he asked for a Margherita with some rocket on top.
Our friend opted for the Calzone Classico with Tomato, Mozzarella, Ricotta and Salami. Wow, this was massive, and I’m surprised he managed to finish it. Other meaty pizzas are Napoli Salami, Nduja with Ricotta, Amatriciana (Pancetta) with Burrata and Capricciosa with Ham. We all walked out of Theo’s, feeling stuffed and glad for the walk home.
To alleviate our guilt of overeating a large pizza each, we shared the Gem Salad with Gem Lettuce, Fennel, Cucumber, Radish, Rocket, Spring Onion and Lemon Dressing fresh tasting.
Sadly, we had no room left for dessert. If you’re interested, there’s the Affogato with Frangelico, and Ice Cream Panuozzo is an Ice Cream Sandwich with various flavours. I’m a sucker for Tiramisu, so I would have liked to try that. Other options were Ice Cream with a choice of Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, Pistachio, Hazelnut, Stracciatella and Raspberry Sorbet.
The food is reasonably priced, Antipasti is £3-6, Pizzas cost £8.50-13, and Desserts are £4-7. The drinks include Beers (Kernel Table Beer, Partizan Pale Ale), Cocktails (Spritz, Hazelnut Espresso Martini), Prosecco, Wines, Spirits, Digestives (Limoncello), Homemade Lemonade, San Pellegrino and Ozone Coffee.
