Turkish Brunch At Abraco Finsbury Park London N4

I finally found time to stop by Abraco on Blackstock Road in Finsbury Park, London N4. I’d passed this charming café many times en route to my monthly beauty appointments and always meant to visit. After popping into the Wilberforce Road Plant Sale, a twice-yearly event started by my late neighbour, Hugh, it felt like the right moment. With my partner, a friend, and our Jack Tzu pup in tow, we headed to Abraco for some satisfying food. If you’re looking for one of the best brunch spots in Finsbury Park, especially for a Turkish-influenced breakfast, Abraco is a fantastic choice.

Turkish-Inspired Brunch At Abraco Finsbury Park

The brunch menu is broad and appealing, making it a challenge to choose. You’ll find full breakfasts in three versions – meaty, vegetarian, or vegan. My partner chose the vegetarian breakfast, which came loaded with eggs, feta filo pie, halloumi, chestnut mushrooms, asparagus, hash brown, avocado, vegan sausage, baked beans, and artisan bread. He loved every mouthful and said it was fantastic. The meaty version features streaky bacon and Cumberland sausage, while the vegan option substitutes roasted sweet potato, plantain, and homemade kimchi.

The Anatolian Breakfast combines Turkish beef sausage, halloumi, feta, filo pie and garlic yoghurt in a generous spread. There’s also an American breakfast option featuring pancakes or French Toast, along with streaky bacon and sausage. Large breakfast plates are between £13.50 and £13.90. If you’re dining as a couple, the Mega Turkish Breakfast for two (£33) includes the highlights of the menu, along with Turkish tea. There’s a wide range of smaller egg dishes, such as Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale, Turkish-style Menemen, Shakshuka, or Cilbir.

I went for the Simit Breakfast, which consisted of scrambled eggs, melted Kashkaval cheese, olives, feta, cucumber, and tomato, all served with a sesame-crusted Turkish bagel. I just loved the bagel; it was delicious, and the scrambled eggs were perfect. These smaller plates cost between £11 and £12.50.

Our friend chose the Avocado on Sourdough (£8.50), served with radish, cherry tomatoes, and chilli oil, along with an added side of feta and olives. It was fresh, simple, and well-executed. You can add extras like eggs, smoked salmon or grilled halloumi if you’re feeling super hungry.

For those with a sweet tooth, the brunch menu doesn’t hold back. The pancakes are stacked with strawberries, caramelised bananas, cream and real maple syrup, while the French Toast is infused with pistachio crème and topped with crushed cannoli and Nutella. These cost around £12 to £13.

To drink, I had a fresh orange and ginger juice, which perked me up. The coffee, made using Ozone beans, covers all the bases, from flat whites to Turkish coffee and iced versions. There are smoothies, chai, and brunch cocktails, too, including Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Espresso Martinis for those in weekend mode.
