I was happy that Yolk opened at More London, London Bridge SE1. We’ve eaten there a few times over the last month, so I have plenty of photographs to share. Yolk is a fast food establishment that puts the fine into fast food. It’s quality grub you can eat in, take away or have delivered to your office or home. With Poached Egg Pots and Baps for breakfast, Next Level Sandwiches, Hot Pots and Salad Bowls for lunch, it will satisfy your hunger and put a smile on your face. If you’re looking for the best places to get takeaway breakfast near London Bridge or somewhere to eat a quick lunch in SE1, I can recommend Yolk.

Yolk Menu
Try one of the Poached Egg Pots for breakfast. The Poached Eggs all come with a runny yolk, but I did ask for mine to be well done. Choose from Benedict with Pulled Ham Hock or Royale with Smoked Salmon. Those both have House Hollandaise and Cayenne. The vegan/vegetarian options are Smashed Avocado with Tomato, Chilli and Lime or The Mushroom with Roasted Portobello Mushrooms, Parsley Oil and Parmesan Sourdough Crumb. We tried the latter two with a side of Sourdough Toast. The small pot is fine if you want to stave off a rumbling tummy before arriving at the office. If you need more fuel, you’ll want the large size instead.
The Brekkie Baps will be a welcome breakfast if you’re okay with carbs. Choose from Classic Bacon which is Smoked Streaky Bacon with Breakfast Sauce. Take it up a notch with Fancy Bacon with Smashed Avocado, Melted Nduja and Coriander. Avocado Mushroom is the vegan option, and Egg with Cheese Melt is the vegetarian offering. You can add an oven-fried egg to any bap. Happy days!
For lunch, I can recommend the Next Level Sandwiches. We shared the Mushroom Melt with Portobello Mushroom, Mature Cheddar, Roasted Red Pepper, Rocket and Secret Sauce and the Bang-Bang Shroom with Soy-Glazed Portobello Mushroom, Peanut Sauce, Coriander, Carrot, Pickled Daikon and Sesame. Wow, both were delicious. I think it was because they were warm, and the ingredients were noticeably fresh. I’d eat both again. Meat eaters may like the Steak Béarnaise, Steak Chimichurri, Steak Ruben, Nduja Club, Secret Chicken Avocado or Bang-Bang Chicken options.
Healthier lunch ideas are the Steak, Chicken, or Mushroom Hot Pots served on Brown Rice with Steamed Greens. If you want to be super healthy, try the Salad Bowls, which include Mixed Leaves with your Chicken, Mushrooms, Steak or Mozzarella.
They only have one side, which is a pot of Mac and Cheese. Ingredients include Macaroni, Cheese Sauce, Red Miso, Spices and Parmesan Sourdough Crumb, which is yummy! It just happens to be one of our favourites, so we checked it out and can give it the big thumbs up.
Those in a hurry may want to pick up a cup of Coffee by Ozone Coffee or Tea by Good and Proper. Of course, you’ll want a Croissant, Pan Au Chocolate or Fudgy Brownie or Banana Bread with that!
