There are a whole host of lovely eateries in Crouch End and The Haberdashery is definitely one of them. It’s a pretty, quaint place with a folksy come vintage vibe. It’s a lovely neighbourhood cafe – very welcoming and ever so cosy which is situated Middle Lane, London N8.
They are particularly good in the breakfast, brunch department which they serve all day. Choose from the hearty dishes; English Breakfast, Veggie Breakfast, Oak Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs, Eggs Benedict or French Toast with Cinnamon Banana. Lighter options include; Eggs on Toast, Porridge with Pears, Yoghurt with Muesli, Breakfast Rolls and Toast with Preserves.
I’ve been in there a couple of times recently, with my friend Richy and also my Homeboy. Homeboy loved the place and enjoyed his veggie breakfast while I ate the French toast, with two lattes the total price of our breakfast was £16.20.
The Haberdashery Veggie Breakfast
If you’re there for lunch they have a selection of sandwiches; Classic Club, Veggie Club, etc. Warm yourself up with the hot food; Meatballs, Fish Cakes, Halloumi or Falafel with a choice of sides or opt for one of their salads.
The Haberdashery French Toast
Drinks include; a few wines, beers and cocktails like a Beetroot Bloody Mary. The coffee is from Nude Espresso and there’s a good selection if teas. They also serve some nice fresh juice combinations and Soda Jars filled with lashings of Ginger, Elderflower, Raspberry with Rose and Lime with Lemongrass.

The Haberdashery Alfresco Seating
The interiors are village fate style, think painted panelled wood on the walls and flag bunting. There’s a memo board highlighting events hosted by Haberdashery. The chairs and tables are mismatched and distressed – so all very shabby chic.
The Haberdashery Interiors
It’s frequented by mums with babies and kids, couples and friends catching up for a good gossip. A nice place for a lazy weekend brunch. They have toilets and free Wi-Fi. There is a second branch located at Stoke Newington High Street which has its own interior style – retro tiled walls and minimal décor. Crouch End and Stoke Newington are both lovely places to shop – check out the features in my ‘Shops’ section. Credits: text and images by Homegirl London.
