Homegirl London finds the Panton Chair, a 70s classic designed by Verner Panton.   The fibreglass original was one of the first chairs to be moulded from a single piece of material.  It’s now made in a polypropylene by Vitra and there is a stamp of authenticity under the seat.  Verner Panton is considered one of Denmark’s most influential furniture and interior designers of the 20th century and is renowned for moving the Danish furniture industry from blond wood towards brightly coloured plastics.  This sensational seat has graceful, fluid curves and comes in a range of cool colours – Black, White, Ice Grey, Red, Tangerine and Chartreuse.  The Panton would look great gracing your dining room, especially if you surrounded your dining table with an array of colours.  It’s 83cm high, 50cm wide and 61cm in depth.  The chair costs £200 and you can buy from The Conran Shop.  It’s also stackable so is space saving.   Credits: text by Homegirl London, images courtesy of The Conran Shop, special thanks to Simone John.
