Finds: pompom sari stool

Homegirl London finds the Pompom Stool.  This striking sculptural seat has been hand crafted from worn and discarded silk saris to create a stunning 3D upholstery effect.  The structure itself is made from Mango or Acacia wood.  It comes in a vibrant turquoise colour.  This piece would look adorable anywhere you put it and would certainly add a splash of colour and textural interest to a room.  It’s been designed by Studio Avni who specialise in funky 3D textiles, furniture and lighting.  The measurements are 35 x 50cm.  The price is £200 and you can buy from www.moorbi.comMoorbi is an online retailer selling premium products which are up-cycled, re-cycled and sustainable.  Do take a look at their website because they have some really cool items available from some very talented fresh designers.  Their products range from furniture and home accessories to jewellery and fashion goods.  Credits: text by Homegirl London, images courtesy of Moorbi, special thanks to Laura Wuithier.
