I’ve enjoyed breakfast several times at Audrey’s Flat Iron Square, London SE1. Audrey’s offers premium, organic and sustainably-sourced British ingredients. Their open kitchen takes inspiration from contemporary bistros, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. Experience indoor and outdoor dining in the lively pedestrian square, absorbing Bankside’s rich history and culture in the Southwark Quarter. Whether searching for the best breakfast places in SE1, weekend brunch in Bankside or restaurants in the Southwark Quarter, Audrey’s is the place to be.
“For those who enjoy outdoor dining in Bankside or the Southwark Quarter, the breakfast at Audrey’s will surely delight you,” Homegirl London.
Audrey’s Breakfast Menu Overview
Order a Pastry or Croissant with your Coffee for a quick snack. Choose from Pain au Raisin, Pain au Chocolat, Croissant, or Apricot Croissant. Or choose a healthy start with Granola paired with Spring Fruit Compote, Greek or Coconut Yoghurt.
The Poached Egg dishes Include vegetarian options like Eggs Florentine with Wilted Spinach, Eggs and Hollandaise, or Eggs Royale with Smoked Salmon. You can also try Eggs Benedict with Smoked Back Bacon. Other Egg options are an Omelette with Fine Herbs or Shakshuka with Roasted Peppers, Scrambled Eggs, Chilli, and Coriander.
For a hearty Breakfast, consider the Full English with Smoked Back Bacon, handmade Cumberland Sausage, Fried Egg, Flat Mushrooms, Plum Tomato, Hash Browns and Baked Beans.
Their Vegetarian is a meat-free option featuring Poached Eggs, Flat Mushrooms, Avocado, Baked Beans, Hash Browns, and Plum Tomato. You can customise your breakfast with various sides if you’re super picky.
We tried their Vegan Stack recently, which was excellent with a stunning presentation. It featured a delicious combination of Rosti Potato, Romanesco, Asparagus, Sugar Snaps, Tomato, Mushroom and Avocado.
Non-Egg dishes include Scottish Smoked Salmon Rosti with Crème Fraiche and Smashed Avocado Toast with Cherry Tomatoes and Basil. Breakfast dishes range from £8-15.
And why not sample their breakfast cocktails? Try a Breakfast Martini, Audrey’s Bloody Mary, or Strawberry Bellini for £10. If you prefer, stick to Coffee or Fresh Juice to start your day.
If you’re visiting at lunch, try their Ruben Sandwich, Borough Market Fish Cake, or Wild Girolles Mushroom Toast. Dinner options often include Risotto, Fish Pie, and Ribeye Steak.

Helpful Information About Audrey’s Restaurant
For more information, go to Audrey’s Cafe and Bar website. At 1 Flat Iron Square, Union Street, London SE1 0AB, Audrey’s is closest to Borough Station (Northern Line) and Southwark Station (Jubilee Line). Make a reservation to enjoy meals from breakfast to dinner at your own pace. Audrey’s is open from 8 am to 11 pm on Tuesday to Saturday and 9 am to 4 pm on Sundays.
The restaurant boasts stylish, contemporary interiors rather like a modern diner. There’s an open kitchen, so you can see your food being prepared. The building was previously a Victorian public toilet, in case you were wondering why it’s situated in the middle of the pavement. You’ll enjoy the ample outdoor seating and pedestrianised street in the summer.
