We were happy to discover a new branch of Crol and Co on Tanner Street, London SE1. It’s ideally situated just off the charming Bermondsey Street. Their lovely location boasts views of the adorable Tanner Street Park. We popped in shortly after they opened to try their Breakfast offering, which I’ll share with you. For Lunch, they serve Burgers, and when the evening rolls around, it’s time for drinks ranging from Cocktails to Local Craft Beers, cheers to that! If you’re looking for Breakfast places near Bermondsey Street, Coffee near Tower Bridge Road or Bars in SE1, Crol and Co could become your place.
“A cosy place to hang out and enjoy Breakfast Buns, Shakshuka, or a Banana Bread treat with views of Tanner Street Park, just off Bermondsey Street,” Homegirl London.
Breakfast At Crol And Co
Delving into the Crol and Co Breakfast Menu, they serve an array of delectable Pastries and Croissants which you’ll see displayed on the Bar. Treat your taste buds to a Cinnamon Bun, a Butter Croissant, or a Pain au Chocolat. Pair your baked goods with Coffee, and you’ll have a great start to your day!
Egg lovers are in for a treat with offerings like Scrambled Eggs combined with Mushroom Duxelles, Basil Oil, Za’tar, and Toast, a delightful vegetarian choice. The Basil Oil made a big difference to this dish, which I’ll replicate at home and pretend was my idea!
Another egg-centric dish is the Shakshuka, a flavourful concoction of Slow-Cooked Tomato and Peppers with Eggs, served with Za’atar Bread. A great choice if you want a healthy Breakfast.
If not, perhaps choose the Fluffy Egg Bun laden with Cheese and a unique Breakfast Sauce. Vegans aren’t left out, with the Hash Brown Bun filled with Mushroom Duxelles, Vegan Cheese and a Savoury Sauce on the menu. The Smash Sausage Bun is a hearty ensemble of Fluffy Egg, Cheese, and a touch of Brown Sauce. And for those looking for a bit of variation, swapping the Egg for a Hash Brown is an option.
I have a soft spot for the Banana Bread, generously drizzled with Maple Syrup, topped with Mascarpone, and accompanied by Banana slices and a sprinkling of Almonds. But for days when I’m leaning towards a healthier kickstart, the Porridge infused with Chai, Coconut and a medley of Seeds will be the one.
