Homegirl London finds a selection of cool industrial coffee tables. If you’re a fan of industrial interiors then you’ll just love these industrial coffee tables. I’ve picked out a cart coffee table, couple of palette coffee tables, one using scaffolding and another re-using a vintage metal cabinet. These all demonstrate that you can upcycle wood and metal to make your own table if you’re inclined to do so. Otherwise, you can just buy one of these industrial coffee tables instead!
Cool Industrial Coffee Tables
The Plato Coffee Table is an updated take on the factory style cart table. This version features teak wood secured to metal caster wheels. The metal continues on the corners of the table top for additional interest. This piece is ideal for small living spaces where a low table is preferably and can double up as a place to rest your feet! The measurements are 77cm high, 36cm wide and 153cm long – £895 from Lombok.
This Pallet Table gives you rustic rawness along with a spot of upcycling. The pallet has been adapted to make a low coffee table which is ideal for a small apartment. It’s very easy to maneuver thanks to the castor wheels on the base. The chunky shape makes this design sturdy and practical which will look even better when it’s aged a bit. The measurements are 31cm high, 60cm wide and 60cm in depth – £175 from Rose and Grey.
Here is another Pallet Coffee Table although this version isn’t so obvious. The wood has been sourced from demolished houses in South West India and re-used to make this beautiful table. The rustic wood certainly has tons of character and paired with the metal legs it is quite beautiful. The design is low to the ground so it’s unobtrusive and would suit a small apartment. The measurements are 35cm high, 140cm long and 70cm in depth – £325 from Rose and Grey.
Timothy Oulton has made a Scaffolding Coffee Table which features reclaimed timber. The industrial metal paired with the salvaged wood adds character and softens the rawness of this piece. I love the rivet detailing on the corners. The base can be used as an underneath shelf for books or magazines leaving the top for coffee cups. The measurements are 45cm high, 130cm wide and 80cm in depth – £939 from Barker and Stonehouse.
I just love this upcycled idea using metal drawers from an architectural cabinet and adding casters. It makes a beautiful industrial style coffee table with storage. The three drawers are useful for all your bits and pieces while the item itself is quite robust and sturdy. The measurements are 50cm high and 95cm square for the top portion – £649 from Where Saints Go at Etsy UK.
Making Upcycled Industrial Coffee Tables
All these coffee tables are quite easy to make yourself or you could ask a handy DIY friend to help you. Re-use any old timber you have lying around or rummage about in junk shops for a beautiful old metal cabinet. The castor wheels are very easy to buy online and you can find them at Etsy UK.
Where to Buy Industrial Coffee Tables
