Homegirl London finds designer home decor collections which capture and celebrate our countryside. Lorna Syson has launched a stunning selection of home furnishing fabrics, wallpapers, cushions and lampshades. The two new designs showcase rural Leicestershire which is where Lorna enjoyed her wedding and honeymoon. You’ll find bees hovering around bright yellow hedgerow shrubs and Greenfinches in mid-flight against a stunning backdrop of apple blossom. If you love matching wallpaper and fabric or want to mix complementary designs, you’ll be captivated by this designer home decor range.

Designer home decor – new patterns
Broom and Bee: This is such a beautiful design. It evokes memories of warm May days and frolicking around in the British flora and fauna. As the name implies, the focus is on Broom, a shrub common on heaths, open woodlands and hedgerows. It has bright yellow flowers in spring with a delightful vanilla aroma. The name, Broom, derives from the stems which were often tied together to form a broom for sweeping. Lorna shows bees hovering for honey around this shrub. It’s such a typical sight that you’d see whilst walking in the countryside but one that you might take for granted. Lorna helps us to enjoy and cherish such a vision. This pattern comes in two options; Sky which is a sunny day time colour and Dusk which is more subdued. These work well coordinated together so you can offset the bright yellow with the dusky grey.

Greenfinch: Lorna has a love for British garden birds; willow tits, blue tits, bull finches and robins have all featured in her previous designs. She continues this theme by paying tribute to the Greenfinch. This striking bird is seen in mid-flight against a backdrop of apple blossom. It’s such a pretty, springtime pattern which works well coordinated with Broom and Bee.
