Homegirl London finds Fairground arrow lights. Arrow wall lights have been around for a while now but don’t seem to be switching off anytime soon. We just can’t seem to get enough of these fairground carousel inspired beauties. If you want to have all the fun of the fair in your own home, you might like my round up of vintage style lighting. I’ve selected five of my favourite fairground arrow lights to share with you.
Aged Arrow Lights
Favourite Five Fairground Arrow Lights
Point the way with this gorgeous green vintage style arrow light. It’s made from iron which has been powder coating in this amazing colour. The cable is two metres long and it requires ten E14 small screw bulbs with a maximum of 25W. The bulbs aren’t included so you’ll need to buy those separately. The measurements are 27cm high, 63cm wide and 11cm in depth – £150 from Graham & Green.
Green Arrow Light
This metal arrow light has been inspired by fairground carousels. It has a distressed effect with ageing and a rusty rustic finish. It features twelve bulbs which actually come with this piece so you can plug it in and light up your home immediately. The measurements are 40.64cm high, 91.44cm wide and 10.16cm in depth – £295 from Rose and Grey.
Rustic Rusty Arrow Light
If you’re looking for a large fairground style light to brighten up your space then you might like this one. It has a solid construction made from metal on the sides and is fitted with twenty traditional fairground turbo lights. It creates reflections against the insides of the metal for a magnificent effect. This has been made by hand in London so you can request the design in a number of colours with incandescent or LED bulbs. The measurements are 104cm high, 47cm wide and 10cm in depth – £495 from Goodwin & Goodwin at notonthehighstreet.com.
Large Bright Arrow Light
For an authentic looking arrow light which has been beautifully aged, you might just fall in love with this one. It can be distressed to your taste so if you want it to look older or newer just let the seller know and they can arrange this for you. These are built to order so you can also specify size and colour changes as well. This has been made from reclaimed wood with steal and is battery operated so doesn’t need to be located near a plug. The measurements are approximately 90cm in length – £65 from Lamplight Design Co at Etsy UK.
Aged Arrow Light
This light is reminiscent of Las Vegas signage. With the wording ‘Get Lucky’ it might be suitable for the bedroom! The lettering is in red and black on a buttermilk background. It is fitted with ten LED lights so is functional as well as funky. It’s made from a combination of metal and wood. The measurements are 55cm high, 35cm wide and 4cm in depth – £60 from Urban Outfitters (UK).

Authentic Vintage Fairground Arrow Lights
The lights I’ve mentioned within this feature are reproductions but if you’re interested in obtaining real fairground accoutrement there are a few places to look. Lassco is famous for their stunning collection of architectural antiques, salvage items and objects of curiosity. They have two London locations, one in Vauxhall and the other in Bermondsey. You can also browse online by searching under the fairground accoutrement section. Here you’ll find an assortment of fairground lights and amusement boards amongst other amazing vintage finds. EBay and Etsy are always good for a rummage around.
