Restaurant Review: Homeslice Pizza. If you love wood-fired pizzas, Homeslice Pizza is well worth checking out. There are now six locations dotted around the capital. We popped into the one at Queen Street in the City of London last week. If you’re looking for the best pizza in London, places to eat near Mansion House or lunch in Cannon Street, grab yourself 20 inches of heaven.
“20-inch wood-fired pizzas with interesting flavour combinations are served at Homeslice. With paper plates, paper napkins and no cutlery, it’s a no-nonsense eating experience which will leave you full and thankful you went,” Homegirl London
I was invited to review the Fitzrovia branch of Homeslice back in 2015 and still have fond memories. Having moved near the city of London, we’d spotted the large Queen Street branch and were looking forward to checking it out. We were bowled over once again by these delicious pizzas, so I decided to write another review!
Homeslice Pizza Menu
The pizzas are big, 20 inches to be exact. It’s great to visit these restaurants with a friend so you can share the pizza. You can order some of the variants by the slice if you can’t agree on your toppings. We asked for our pizza to be divided into two flavours which were Cauliflower Shawarma with Tahini plus Pomegranate and Chickpeas on one side. The other half was Neal’s Yard Four Cheese with Jalapeno Salsa and Rye Crumb. Wow, this pizza has the most perfect thin crust, is absolutely delicious and incredibly easy to eat so it won’t take you long to devour. I loved both toppings, the Cauliflower Shawarma was creamy and exotic while the Cheese with Jalapeno had a fiery kick.

On our visit, the pizza menu included;

2. Margherita
3. Mushroom with Ricotta scattered with Pumpkin Seeds and Chilli
4. Salami with Rocket and Parmesan
5. Vegan Mushroom with Pumpkin Seeds and Chilli
6. Courgette combined with Artichoke
7. Neal’s Yard Four Cheese with Jalapeno Salsa and Rye Crumb
8. Cauliflower Shawarma with Tahini, Pomegranate and Chickpeas
9. Chorizo with Corn and Coriander
10. BBQ Beef with Pickled Carrots and Celery
11. Spiced Lamb with Savoy Cabbage and Sumac Yoghurt
Lemony Lemonade
The pricing is straightforward. It’s £20 for 20 inches or £4 per slice. However, if you do want to celebrate try the Signature Pizza which is £30. There aren’t any sides, it’s just pizza and that’s it! You can order a drink though – Homebrew Lager, Aperol Spritz, Wine, Cocktail or a Soft Drink.

Restaurant Interior
This branch of Homeslice occupies a sizeable space. There are a few tables and chairs outside. When you venture in you will probably notice the gigantic pizza oven towards the back. There are a few booths along one wall. The décor has an industrial feel with brick style flooring, painted breeze block walls and rustic wood tables with metal legs. Large windows let in light to brighten up the room. It’s a great place to hang out with colleagues after a hard day working in the city.
