O ver Restaurant Borough Neapolitan Menu
Start with Bruschetta with a trio of toppings; cherry tomato with basil, artichokes mousse and buffalo ricotta with black olives served on seawater bread. They have a few different Buffalo Mozzarella starters which all sounded tempting. Small salads include octopus, mixed leaves with a honey and orange dressing or a Mediterranean option. We shared the selection of Neapolitan Street Food which was mini-sized deep-fried food. It included a cute little pizza, creamy mashed potato croquette, mozzarella and rice ball. There was also one with ham which we omitted from our plate. You get a San Marzano tomato dipping sauce. It was a tasty plate of food, a great sharing option.

Pasta mains include a simple spaghetti with tomatoes which I ordered. This was excellent, and the sauce was delicious, I couldn’t get enough of it! My friend went for the pappardelle with Bolognese which she enjoyed. The wood-fired pizzas are authentic Neapolitan style. The restaurant uses pure seawater in their pizza cooking because it has less sodium and more minerals to achieve lighter cooking, thus making the pizza more digestible. Choose from Marinara, Margherita, Sorrento, Cinque Formaggi and Regina if you’re a vegetarian. Vegans can request dairy-free mozzarella. Expect the best Italian ingredients on meaty pizzas including artisan rolled Italian bacon, Parma ham cured for 24 months and Italian pork sausage from Tuscany.

Try to save a little space for the dessert. You might want to taste the Baba sponge cake soaked in rum. The Cannolo is an Artisan Sicilian cannolo filled with light ricotta cream, orange zest, dessert cherries and crushed pistachios. Yes, they have Tiramisu, so don’t worry. We decided on the Rocher, a rich chocolate and hazelnut cake covered with chopped hazelnuts, which was decadent! Gelato, Italian ice creams are also available.
Rocher Dessert
To give you the idea of price points – Starters are £8-16, Pasta Dishes are £16-20, Pizzas £8.50-17 and Desserts are £8. The drinks list is impressive with some excellent Italian wines included.

Restaurant Interior
The restaurant interiors are simple in design with whitewashed walls and marble detailing. A countertop for eating your food overlooks Southwark Street where you can sit on a stool and watch the people passing by. Otherwise, you will be seated at wooden tables to enjoy your food. It’s a lovely place to enjoy a romantic meal in the evening or business lunch.
