We had a memorable lunch at Oisoi Restaurant, New Kent Road, Elephant Park, London SE1. It was the first afternoon we’d been without our cute puppy, so we decided to make the most of it. The contemporary dining spot serves Chinese dishes, including Dim Sum, Cheung Fung, Noodles, Rice, Soups and more. Everything is beautifully presented in stylish surroundings. If you’re looking for the best restaurants in Elephant and Castle, a date night dinner destination, Chinese Cuisine or Dim Sum, you should book a table at Oisoi.
“Oisoi is by far the most upmarket restaurant in Elephant and Castle. It’s brilliant for date night dinners and special occasions. Or for those who want to treat themselves to a posh lunch like we did!” Homegirl London.
Oisoi Restaurant Lunch Menu
We were given the Dim Sum Lunch and the Special Selection Menus and ordered from both. Our first dish was Crispy Fried Tempura French Beans with Chilli and Peppercorn Salt. It was delicious, and I’d highly recommend it. Although everything we ate was excellent, this was by far our favourite.
Dim Sum is their popular lunch offering, and I can vouch for the Black Truffle Trio Mushroom Dumplings, which were incredible. The truffle elevated the shrooms to a heavenly realm. I popped all three into my mouth rather quickly and have been dreaming about them ever since.
Meanwhile, my partner was enjoying his Jade Chive and Shrimp Dumplings. He also tried the Scallop and bright pink Black Truffle Cheung Fung, both outstanding. Pumpkin Crispy Duck, X.O Canadian Scallops and Iberico Pork with Minced Prawn Dumplings were also under the steamed section on the Lunch Menu.
We shared the Mixed Veg Egg Fried Rice with Garlic and Ginger Pak Choi for our main. Both tasted amazing. Other options are Stir Fried Sliced Pork with Fresh Chillis, various chicken dishes in a Hot Pot, Sautéed in Butter with Sweet and Sour Sauce, with Szechuan Chili or Black Bean Sauce. Alternatively, you may prefer Premium Beef with Sugar Snaps Wok Fried with Black Bean and Chili Sauce, Sliced Lamb with Okra or Grilled Prime Rack of Lamb in Malaysian Curry. I’m sure the meat eaters will be in heaven with the selection.
We wanted to save room for dessert and were pleased when presented with two perfect round cakes. The Mango Yuzu and Black and White Sesame were both stunning and will entice me to eat there again. It’s tempted me to try afternoon tea.
