Regent’s Canal: The canal stretches from Paddington to Limehouse Basin taking you through the bottom of Broadway Market where you see the giant gasometer structure and pretty painted barges.

Broadway Market: This bustling street market takes place on Saturdays from 9 am until 5 pm. You can buy artisan food, street food and plenty of gorgeous gifts, homeware and fashion items from independent designer-makers. Located on Broadway Market (which is an actual street), London E8 4QJ. Mare Street Market: A former council building has been transformed into a creative spot where you can eat at the Open Kitchen, Deli or The Dining Room. Drink coffee by Flying Horse. Netil Market: This lovely little yard houses a selection of street food shacks and craftspeople in shipping containers and sheds. Mentmore Terrace Railway Arches: Situated close to London Fields Park is a row of railway arches. You will find a few eateries located there including the Secret Smokehouse, Rosa’s Thai Kitchen, Finch Café and E5 Bakehouse. You’ll also find a place to try Yoga and Crazy Golf plus a second-hand furniture store to browse.

Westgate Street Railway Arches: Down a pint at the Forest Road Brewing Co. Across the road is Cook Daily, a vegan restaurant. Fount is also located there which is a community hub for small businesses with a nursery for child care. Arches, Westgate Street, London E8 3RN.

Victoria Park is a short walk away. It’s a beautiful green space with plenty of amenities including boating lakes, sporting fields, play areas, gardens and a Chinese Pagoda.

The nearest station is London Fields which is on the Overground. Or you can travel by bus to near Mare Street and walk. The best day to visit is Saturday when Broadway Market is open.
