The fantastic showroom is filled with fabulous vintage furniture, retro lighting and rustic home accessories. Many of the vintage items have been restored to bring them back to life, and they also make a selection of bespoke furniture items like hairpin leg dining tables. There’s a mix of styles on offer ranging from vintage to industrial, mid-century modern, shabby chic, rustic and contemporary. The Restoration is undoubtedly worth a visit if you want to find something unique and spectacular for your home.
My Favourite Five Pieces From The Restoration
I popped into the showroom for a browse and there were so many beautiful pieces that it was difficult to decide what to show you. I finally picked out five items to give you a sense of what you can expect to find. This shop offers an outstanding selection of bespoke furniture items which includes reclaimed wood mirrors, wooden bookcases, wooden coffee tables and wooden blanket boxes. The dining table and chair selection comprise of various styles from country kitchen to retro. I particularly liked the hairpin leg dining table, which comes with hairpin leg seating benches. The tabletops are made from reclaimed boards which have been stripped and oiled, so you get the attractive distressing. These are available in different sizes and prices depending on your requirements.

In terms of vintage furniture pieces, this Victorian chest of drawers is a great storage solution for a bedroom or hallway. It dates back to the late 1800s and has been freshened up with Little Greene paint in French Grey and Rolling Grey. There are three large drawers plus two smaller sizes, all with matching vintage style handles. The chest sits on elegant bun style feet for an elegant finish. The measurements are 98cm high, 99cm wide and 45cm deep – £350.

I also liked the Industrial Metal Wall Cabinet, which is ideal for a bathroom, kitchen, home office or hallway. It’s a great storage solution which brings a touch of industrial chic to your home without dominating the space. It features a mesh door, so you get a glimpse of what’s inside. With three shelves, you can display all your beauty products neatly. Hang it on the wall or place it on a shelf. The measurements are 49cm high, 33cm wide and 15.5cm in depth – £59.95.

The shop is a joy to browse around. It’s tucked down a mews so feels like you’ve stumbled across it. You enter through a small doorway, and then you come into the first room which showcases a large selection of home accessories and some of the bespoke items like the hairpin leg dining table and benches. There is a second room which is vast and is magnificently merchandised. With exciting and thoughtfully created displays you’ll need at least a good half hour to take everything in. Do look up because you’ll notice a vintage bicycle hanging from the ceiling.
Other items of interest were taxidermy animal trophy deer heads, rustic wooden coat hook racks, glass cloche selection, sheepskin rugs, cowhide rugs, large café style clocks, faux fur cushions, glass bottles with stopper tops plus Heyland and Whittle candles. I took pictures of some of these items which you’ll see below.
