Food Market Review: Vinegar Yard London Bridge Food Trucks. The people behind Flat Iron Square have opened up the Vinegar Yard across the road from London Bridge Station. Open Space with Seating

Sugo: The Sugo Sandwich is their signature dish which is served in an open ciabatta. We tried Nonna’s Broccoli which is their vegan version, and others were Pesto Chicken, Melting Meatballs or Lamb Ragu. These ingredients can be placed in a box with brown rice if you’re avoiding bread. You can add Popcorn Arancini and Chickpea Fries.

Nonna’s Broccoli from Sugo

Baba G’s: Famous for their Bhangra Burgers. Order yourself a Crazy Lamb Jalfrezi, the Naga Delhi Double, Cheeky Tikka Chicken or Paneer Saag.

Nanny Bill’s: Their famous Mac n Cheese or Beef Brisket Croquettes are worth checking out. They also serve Burgers which include The Classic Double Cheese, Bacon Cheese and The Lula, which is their vegan option.

Up In My Grill: This truck is perfect for meat-eaters, they serve Argentinian style steak and chimichurri. The Steak Plate, French Dip Sandwich, Beef Shinn Nuggets and Fondue Fries will keep you happy.

The Gentlemen Baristas: You can buy coffee and food which includes House Potato Rosti or Sausage Meat Patty with an Egg Roll. Poached Eggs on Sourdough, Avocado on Toast, Waffles and House Banana Bread are also available.

Drinks: Check out the Prosecco truck, and inside the building, you can find a bar. Look around, and you’ll spot the fantastic sculptures by Joe Rush, who uses salvaged materials for his creations.

Market Stalls

At the weekend you will find Flea London, a vintage and makers market at one end of this space. The traders are housed inside shipping containers. You can buy vintage bottles, typewriters, record players, LPs, clothing and jewellery. Several designer-makers also sell their products here, so it’s a great place to pick up a gift. Opening times for the vintage market are Saturday 11 am until 6 pm, and Sunday 10 am until 5 pm. There will be some pop-up shops open Wednesday to Friday 11 am until 6 pm. Vinegar Yard in the Shadow of the Shard

For more information, go to the Vinegar Yard Website. Vinegar Yard is located at Vinegar Yard, 80-82 St Thomas Street, London SE1 3QU. It is opposite London Bridge Station. Follow the exit signs for St Thomas Street. Outside one of the entrances To Vinegar Yard, you will see florist Chez Michele. Look out for the tube train carriage with giant red ants on top (by Joe Rush), and you’ve reached your destination! Current opening times are 12 noon until 2.30 pm and 5 pm until 10 pm every day of the week for the food traders. The Gentlemen Baristas are open Monday to Friday from 7.30 am until 6 pm, and Saturday to Sunday 8 am until 6 pm. Check the website for up to date opening times and information on the food traders.
