Finds: cockney homeware accessories

Homegirl London finds the Cockney Charmer Collection.  Designer Victoria Eggs has taken East End rhyming slang as inspiration for her new homeware collection.  She fuses her signature vintage typography with terms such as ‘apples and pears ‘(stairs), ‘rosy lee’ (tea), ‘boat race’ (face) and ‘dog and bone’ (phone).  This design appears on cushions, tea towels, aprons and oven mitts which are all printed on unbleached cotton and mugs in fine bone china.   All products are made in the UK.  Victoria Eggs uses British culture in her work and cockney rhyming slang is a great addition to her range.  You can buy products from VICTORIA EGGS AT NOT ON THE HIGH STREET.  Prices start from £9.  Credits: text by Homegirl London, images courtesy of Victoria Eggs, special thanks to Victoria Eggs and Sophie Luis.
