Homegirl London finds a rather lovely retro looking leather chair. It’s called the Paulistano Chair and was designed in 1957 by Paulo Mendes da Rocha, who won the Pritzker Architecture in 2006. It was originally designed for The Athletic Club of Sao Paulo and is now considered a design classic and is part of the famous permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA). The frame is made from a continuous 17 foot single bended bar giving it a simple structure and comes in stainless steel or black iron. The seat and back are wrapped in leather which gains depth and lustre as it ages. There are plenty of colours to choose from – Black, White, Whisky, Terracotta, Maccassar and Cognac. This piece costs £1225.20 and you can buy it from www.bodieandfou.com. This statement chair which would look amazing in your sitting room or study.
