Ten Best Things To Do In Parsons Green
1. Sip a latte at District Coffee at 50 Parsons Green Lane. There are plenty of cute coffee shops in the area; you’ll find this one a few steps from the Underground station. It’s owned by an Australian woman who knows a thing or two about great coffee. Pick up your caffeine to go, or sit at a window stool to people-watch. They also serve pastries and superfood smoothies.
2. Tuck into a Cali brunch at Hally’s, 60 New King’s Road. I love this place because they were doing brunch long before many other eateries caught on. I returned recently, and it’s just as good as I remember, with plenty of egg dishes, buckwheat pancakes and pimped-up banana bread. It’s got a laid-back California vibe, perfect for catching up with your best friend or a cosy couples treat.
3. Stop for a sandwich at Stubby’s, 28 Parsons Green Lane. This coffee shop, sandwich joint and wine bar is a new neighbourhood gathering spot. Set up by two locals, Oil Man and Greg Weaver, it’s sure to be a big hit in the area. I popped in and tried the veggie sarnie, called Candice, crammed full of tempura aubergine, goat cheese and black caramel with sugar snaps and sage; it was superb.
4. Celebrate at Koji Japanese restaurant, 58 New King’s Road. For a fabulous fine-dining experience, you have to book a table at Koji, where you’ll taste sashimi tacos, kushiyaki skewers, sushi rolls and much more. With pretty plates of exceptional quality food and elegant surroundings, it’s a memorable experience for all.
5. Buy quality food at Bayley & Sage, 30-34 New King’s Road. If you love home cooking, you’ll appreciate having this large, high-quality grocery store on your doorstep. I popped in to buy some herbs and salad items for a photoshoot and believe me when I say, the food here is incredible. From artisan cheeses to freshly baked bread and deli delights, there’s so much choice.
6. Style your home at Abode, 38 New King’s Road. Owned by Bayley & Sage, Abode is a few doors away from their food store. I loved browsing this homeware store, which had a mix of dinnerware, glassware, and plenty of beautiful objects for your kitchen and dining room, plus gift ideas. I returned the following day to purchase a black plate and a green bowl for a photoshoot.
7. Browse quality furniture at One.World, 41-43 Parsons Green Lane. What a fabulous furniture shop this is, filled with sumptuous sofas, delightful dining tables, contemporary consoles and lovely lighting. Perfect for interior styles ranging from shabby chic to French farmhouse and some light industrial items. With an on-site café serving coffee and light lunches with outside seating in a private courtyard, it’s a must-visit showroom in Parsons Green.
8. Comfort test sofas at Darlings of Chelsea, 33 Parsons Green Lane. If you’re searching for the perfect sofa, this showroom is the place to start. Its spacious, calm setting allows you to sit down and sink into their collection of sofas in a range of shapes and sizes. With onsite refreshments for visitors, you’ll be well looked after.
9. Relax on a bench at Parsons Green. After a spot of shopping, it’s time to wander over to the village green space and park yourself on a bench. This patch of grass is compact yet charming, giving the area its village vibe.
10. Try bouldering at the Climbing Co by City Bouldering, 33 Parsons Green Lane. This climbing centre is ideal for anyone who wants to climb some boulders to keep fit. They host beginner classes, so it’s a great place to meet other climbers.

Parsons Green sits within Fulham and combines a relaxed, village-like atmosphere with easy access to the livelier parts of southwest London. Fulham Road and Walham Green lie to the north, with Munster Road to the west and Wandsworth Bridge Road to the east. Travel south, and the streets lead towards Sands End, Hurlingham and, eventually, the banks of the River Thames.
