Stubby’s Awesome Sandwiches Parsons Green London SW6

A new wave of sandwich shops is popping up across London, and I’m loving it because you can’t beat a good sarnie! My latest discovery is Stubby’s in Parsons Green, which was absolutely packed when I visited. Luckily, I snagged a seat at the counter overlooking the street, where I could tuck into my lunch and people-watch. I ordered half a Candice, a fabulous veggie sandwich that turned out to be one of the nicest I’ve eaten. It certainly looks as though the locals are loving this new addition to the neighbourhood! If you’re looking for delicious sandwiches in Parsons Green, exciting veggie lunch options in Fulham, or somewhere new to eat in West London, try Stubby’s.

“London’s sandwich scene just keeps getting better, and Stubby’s is serving up some seriously sensational sarnies!” Homegirl London.

Stubby’s Sandwiches Menu

Stubby’s sandwiches are pretty massive, so I was pleased to see you can order a half or a whole. I went for the Candice because I love aubergine, and the combination of tempura aubergine, black caramel, sugarsnaps, sage and frozen goat’s cheese shavings on focaccia sounded too good to resist. And wow, what a sandwich! I loved the crispy aubergine with sweet, savoury black caramel, crunchy sugarsnaps, and creamy goat’s cheese. It was one of those sandwiches you enjoy every mouthful and feel a little sad when it’s gone! Even the half portion was a decent size, and I can honestly say it’s one of the nicest sandwiches I’ve eaten. I’ll be back for another Candice!

Beyond my veggie favourite, plenty more tempting sarnies are worth trying. The Georgia pairs mutton adobo with soy garlic sauce, potato scraggle and pickled kohlrabi or cabbage on ciabatta. Chicken lovers can tuck into the Tamsin, with koji chicken thigh, chilli crisp, salsa verde, lettuce and Parmesan on focaccia. The Barry brings together shiso porchetta, ‘kare’ curry sauce and smacked cucumber. There’s also the Katherine with pancetta, spring onion, and egg mayo, or the Adam with cod goujons, tartare sauce, and shoestring fries. No boring sandwiches here!

If you’re there in the morning, you can treat yourself to Allpress Coffee and pastry. Later in the week, Stubby’s also doubles as a wine and cocktail bar, serving Australasian wines, beers, and cocktails, including Spicy Margaritas and Dirty Negronis.
