Minnow: Located at 21 The Pavement, this charming dining spot offers breathtaking views of Clapham Common. You’ll find Oats and Grains options such as Porridge topped with Glazed Banana and drizzled with Maple Syrup on the menu. Those who prefer cooked meals have Eggs Florentine, Benedict and Royal, and the Veg or Full Minnow Breakfast. Guests can enjoy their meal on the ground floor with cosy banquette seating, in the garden room towards the rear, or on the open-air terrace. On my visits, I’ve noticed that this eatery is favoured by solo females either working on their laptops or tucking into something delicious. They offer an enticing all-day brunch menu, with highlights such as Toasted Banana Bread adorned with Figs, Fresh Fruit, Coconut Yoghurt, Maple Syrup and Coconut Flakes, a true treat for the taste buds. You can also opt for classic choices like Poached Eggs on Sourdough, Avocado on Toast, or a range of delicious Toasties. Various pastries and cakes are available for those with a sweet tooth, perfectly complemented by their Assembly Coffee. The café boasts charming interiors, featuring vintage-style furniture that harmonises beautifully with the Grade II old chemist building it resides in. Outdoor dining is also available for those who prefer an alfresco experience.
